As a Geotechnical Engineer with Brunel International, you will be responsible for the installation, monitoring, and management of geotechnical instrumentation during the mining of the pit. Your key duties will include ensuring monitoring instrumentation is installed correctly, managing procurement and calibration processes, and coordinating survey pickups of instrumentation locations. You will oversee the collection and uploading of monitoring and photogrammetry data to the site database, conduct daily reviews of monitoring data, and prepare weekly status reports for stakeholders.
You will also be responsible for reviewing and updating Trigger Action Response Plans (TARPs) and monitoring plans, ensuring depressurisation holes are drilled and completed according to design, and assisting the Design Engineer's site lead with data collection and collation alongside other related tasks. Your role will require strong technical acumen, effective communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
